Our September Community Project morning will take place as usual on the first Thursday of the month – this being Thursday 5 Sept. This month’s task will be cutting back any overhanging vegetation on the Rife path plus any such vegetation around our planted trees there. If you’re able to help, please meet by the road bridge leading into the Ferring Country Centre at 10am, and if you have them, please bring any combination of shears, loppers and secateurs. This will last for no more than an hour, and you can always pop into the Country Centre cafe afterwards.
Then on Sunday 22 Sept, we’ll be holding the final beach clean of the year, meeting at the eastern end of the Bluebird Cafe car park as usual at 11am. Bags, pickers and high vis jackets are provided. This is our contribution to the national Great British Beach Clean that weekend.
